We’re planning to shake things up in 2025! Instead of the month-long step challenge, we’re introducing a one-day event.

Event Details!
What: A one-day walk/run challenge along the High Country Rail Trail, covering 35 km from Tallangatta to Wodonga. We’re also considering a shorter, half-distance option to encourage wider participation.

Where: This will be an in-person event along the High Country Rail Trail from Tallangatta to Wodonga Victoria.

When: Our target date is Saturday, 26th of April 2025.

Why: The aim is to raise funds for research into Machado-Joseph Disease (MJD). Over the past 8 years, we’ve raised over $60,000 for MJD research. I am grateful to everyone who has supported this cause from the days of the Ten Summits Challenge to the step challenge, and now, this new endeavor.

To Do:
- Your interaction is important! There is Facebook event will be used to help plan the challenge, so we value your feedback and engagement
- If you’re unable to participate but would still like to be involved, let us know—there will be plenty of volunteer roles available!

Registraion opens soon!

Want to know more about our story?

My fundraising efforts for MJD research started in 2017, to create awareness for MJD and all people with disabilities. MJD runs in my family. At the beginning of 2017, my younger sister and myself had genetic testing to see if we had inherited the gene; we both received a positive result.
